The Create New Scenario page is used to create new scenarios consisting of a Base Scenario and Actions. To begin, choose a name to use for the scenario you are about to create in the Output Scenario textbox.
Once you click the Base Scenario text box you will see all the Base Scenarios in the model, and they will populate in the menu pane to the right.
Then, you proceed to select the desired Base Scenario by clicking the select button. If you would like to choose a different Base Scenario, click the remove button, and select again.
After the Base Scenario is chosen you can select zero, one, or more than one actions for the scenario. Clicking inside the action’s textbox will populate an action menu to the right.
Here there are two sub-menus, one for existing actions and the other for a new action. In this video we will only be using Existing Actions as creating New Action will be covered in another video.
The existing actions sub-menu contains a search bar which allows the user to search for all or part of an actions name. You can pin your actions using the pin icon and remove them by clicking the pin icon once again. Pinning an action allows you to keep your frequently used, or most important actions at the tope of the pane.
To add an action simply click the add button next to the appropriate action. If more than one action is chosen, the actions can be rearranged after the fact using the menu icon to the right side of a given action.
Likewise, if an action needs to be removed, clicking the 'x' button to the right side of the action will do so. An action can also be removed by clicking the remove button as well.
Once the scenario is configured as desired, finish the process by clicking the add scenario button at the bottom of the screen. The scenario will be added, and you will automatically be taken to the Scenarios page.
