The Mode Helper tool enables users to define transportation modes by specifying detailed cost structures that reflect real-world logistics pricing. Users can enter a mode name and choose from various Cost Types, including per-mile, per-shipment, or a combination of both, along with per-model unit if applicable. This flexibility ensures the mode configuration aligns with a company’s actual cost drivers.

Cost can be further specified using Cost Units, such as per-weight, per-cube, or per-unit, allowing for granular control over how shipping costs are calculated. Additionally, users have the option to enforce a minimum cost per shipment, ensuring that baseline transportation charges are respected regardless of volume or distance. This feature provides the precision needed for accurate cost modeling across a variety of shipping scenarios.
