In a production-based supply chain model, the focus shifts from how products are distributed to how they are created. The production model ensures that goods are manufactured from raw materials or components into finished products that are ready for distribution. Selecting this model type will auto-generate constraints based on the production of products. This approach is more complex than the other two, as it involves managing production schedules, ensuring product availability, and coordinating with distribution centers.
